Bio

Sanae is a member of class of 2028 at University of Pennsylvania. She was born and raised in Iran and graduated from Farzanegan high school. Previously she was a gold medalist at the seventh Iranian Stem cell and Regenerative medicine Olympiad (ISRO) and a national peer mentor collaborating with ISRO8 committee. Additionally, she is one of the few recipient of top researcher award. As a senior in high school, Sana held conferences to familiarize talented students from underserved communities with available academic resources. Her self-directed project later (with the help of her previous students) turned into a non-profit organization with a mission to further advance upon their goal of improving educational equity via holding free classes for students from low-income households across +4 underprivileged provinces in Iran. After graduating she took a gap year, spending her time enjoying horseback riding, solo-traveling the middle east and shadowing eminent scientists at high-tech laboratories. She aspires to be a regenerative medicine researcher and to help patients with debilitating diseases. As a previous BeyondBoundaries mentee she is determined to give back the invaluable support she received by guiding other students through the process of applying to U.S. colleges.
