Bio

Natalie Asemi is a medical student at TouroCOM in New York and a recent MPH graduate from Columbia University. Her passions include global health, equitable policy reforms, and precision medicine. She attended Sonoma State University and received her B.S. in Biochemistry and Sociology, graduating with Distinction. Notably, Natalie was appointed as the student voice in the Community of Women Investing in STEM Equity in the Career Technical Foundation of Sonoma County. Here, Natalie developed a mentorship program to expose the youth to STEM fields. Along with her involvement, Natalie has conducted innovative research at prominent academic institutions, including UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion, Harvard Medical School, and now New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Natalie attended Boston University School of Medicine to further her scientific expertise and graduated with her M.S. in Medical Science in 2022. She conducted her thesis at Brigham and Women's Hospital through the Department of Dermatology. She has engaged in other sectors working in vaccine research at Takeda Pharmaceuticals and in policy research at NUFDI. In her free time, Natalie loves to train for races, travel, and try new restaurants for her food blog.
