​Hazel received her B.S. in Chemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2016. She then received her Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry under the joint supervision of Profs. Darren Johnson and Michael Haley at the University of Oregon. During her Ph.D. she studied host-guest chemistry of the hydrochalcogenide anions. She is now a post-doctoral researcher in the Anslyn Labs at the University of Texas at Austin where she studies information storage and retrieval in self-sequencing oligourethanes. In her free time, Hazel enjoys camping and hiking, and spending time with her dog.
