Bio
Hadis is currently a student in Biochemistry Honor major at the University of Texas at Austin, meanwhile she is pursuing certificates in Spanish in Medical Professions, Forensic in Science, and Pre-Health Professionals. Hadis is serving as a director in the Health Career mentorship program (HCMP), and Golestan Foundation and a Teaching Assistant at UT. Hadis was awarded CNS Service and Leadership Distinction for her dedication and motivation in volunteering in many organizations such as Refugee Mentor Program, Translators without Borders, online math tutor, and research mentor in Freshman Research Initiative (FRI). Hadis has been involved in research in the past two years and attended Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) in oncology at Dell Medical School. Hadis is currently working on her honor thesis research project in Dr. Eric Anslyn’s laboratory. Hadis is a member of UT Senate College of Council to promote academic programs, to encourage teaching excellence, and to represent student opinion on academic issues to the administration. She is inspired to help immigrant students to navigate the US educational system and ameliorate this process toward attaining a higher level of education. During her leisure times, Hadis enjoys drawing/painting, cooking Persian foods, and hiking.
