Bio

Cheyenne is currently a student in the Biomedical Engineering program at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing Pre-Health professionals and Jefferson Scholars certificates. Cheyenne is passionate about outreach and helping her community, serving as a Vice President of Philanthropy for the volunteer organization Student Engineers Educating Kids (SEEK) , focusing on implementing STEM activities for underserved elementary and middle schools in the Greater Austin area.Cheyenne has also been involved in research and is a member in a BME research lab under the guidance of Dr. Wang centered on ultrasound focused treatment for Parkinson’s Disease and Spinal Cord Injury. She is also working in accordance with Dr. Brode at Dell Medical School on long-COVID research. Cheyenne is a member of the Dell Medical School Health Leadership Apprentice program and is a chemistry grader for the university's Office of Strategy and Policy. She has also recently obtained her Emergency Medical Technician license and hopes to attend medical school, specializing in emergency medicine. Cheyenne aims to help guide students and support them in their journey towards higher education, offering perspectives both from a pre-health and an engineering point of view. In her free time, Cheyenne enjoys writing, hiking, and playing soccer.
