Bio

Armita Kadivar is currently between 3rd and 4th year of medical school at UCSD, completing research in early psychosis with Dr. Kristin Cadenhead at the Cognitive Assessment and Risk Evaluation (CARE) program. The program focuses on the early identification, intervention and prevention of serious mental illness. She also works with EPI-CAL, a health care network founded at UC Davis that allows patients and families to benefit from data and improve the quality of services in early psychosis. During her time in medical school, Armita has been passionate about providing healthcare resources to people experiencing homelessness and working in COVID-19 outreach to underserved communities. Armita graduated from UC Berkeley in 2017 with a degree in Public Health where she co-founded the organization, Rebuild with Refugees, a multi-campus organization focused on advocacy, education, and volunteering with the refugee population in Northern California. She is excited to continue her work with international students through Beyond Boundaries. In her spare time, Armita enjoys running, cooking, and binge-watching reality TV.
