Bio
Armita Hooman is a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Arts in International Relations (MAIR) dual degree student at Syracuse University's Maxwell School, where she is also pursuing a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Data Analysis for Public Policy. With a B.A. in social policy from the University of Tehran. Armita is currently engaged in a summer fellowship at the National Union for Democracy in Iran (NUFDI) and works part-time as a research assistant at Syracuse University's Newhouse School. Their research interests focus on the role of media in Middle Eastern countries and the use of social media data to inform and align public policies with the people's needs and demands. Beyond her professional and academic pursuits, Armita is a passionate animal lover and a committed feminist, sharing their home with two beloved indoor cats. She enjoys playing squash and watching football (real football AKA soccer) in her leisure time, balancing an active lifestyle with their rigorous academic and professional commitments.
