Bio
Ali is currently a medical student at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and he is co-founder of Beyond Boundaries Mentorship. Ali obtained his Biochemistry Honor at the University of Texas at Austin. He also completed a Business of Healthcare, Forensic in Science, and Pre-Health Professional. He served as a financial director in the Health Career Mentorship Program (HCMP), and data manager at Golestan Foundation. Ali has been involved in research in the past five years. During 2023-2024 he was part Dr. David Soloveichik lab which focuses on DNA nanotechnology. From 2020 to 2023, he was in Dr. Gwendolyn Stovall’s laboratory. His research thesis concerns developing the world's largest Aptamer database with the aim of advancing future Aptamer research. Ali enjoys volunteering as a math tutor, refugee mentor, research mentor in Freshman Research Initiative (FRI), and an avid runner beside his education. During undergraduate he was involved in the College of Natural Sciences Councils which acts as a liaison between students and faculty members to improve the academic and student life experience of all students. He is inspired to help immigrant students to navigate the US educational system, such as high school, undergraduate studies, and Pre-Med education. Ali’s motivation is to help educators who are struggling to address their questions about the system of education in the United States. During his leisure time, Ali enjoys drawing/painting, and watching YouTube videos.Â
