Afshar is currently a clinical scientist at Merck responsible for the development of drugs in the infectious disease space (hepatitis B and D, and HIV). He previously graduated with a BS in chemistry at UC Berkeley ('18) followed by a doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) from UCSF ('22). Other activities and hobbies of mine include powerlifting, chess, hiking, and traveling!
