ABOUT US

As first-generation students immigrating from Iran at a young age, Ali, Hadis, and Morvarid each independently struggled to navigate US educational systems while pursuing higher education. These challenges inspired them to help students from minority backgrounds by mentoring refugees and fundraising for orphanages in Iran. During their undergraduate studies, Ali and Hadis decided to initiate Beyond Boundaries to assist students who are novice/unfamiliar with the US educational system, a program in which mentors can guide mentees on application processes to graduate studies, undergraduate studies, medical education, and research. Ali, Hadis, and Morvarid’s paths aligned in 2022, when they teamed together to close this gap and ameliorate this cloud of confusion for Iranian students. Beyond Boundaries is open to eager students and young professionals and aims to provide opportunities for all mentees to build their network and connect to field experts. We believe that this mentorship can empower students by preparing them to take their next professional step with confidence.
